The City of Cleveland currently handles the expenses for the horses’ care. This includes veterinary care, food, training and farrier services. The Cleveland Mounted Police Charitable Trust assists with miscellaneous expenses that might arise, purchases tack, and purchases new horses for the unit.

Thanks to generous folks like you, the Cleveland Mounted Police Charitable Trust has purchased new saddles, uniforms, rain gear, helmets, blankets, and many supplies over the years.
It costs approximately $5,000 per year to support each horse in the unit. And, it costs $5,000 to $7,500 to purchase a horse. Your support is greatly appreciated for these expenditures. Any donation amount is appreciated, but please consider these levels of support:
Reins Level – $50 – Underwrites special training
Get in the Saddle – $100 – A blanket for one horse
Show Your Shield – $250 – Applied to uniform expenses
Buy a Saddle – $700 – Saddle purchase
Purchase and Name a New Horse – $5,000-$7,500 – Cost depends on the age and type of horse
Horse Care for One Year – $5,000 – Select the horse you want to underwrite for one year
